1 year ago, March 11 2011, the world witnessed a devastating disaster when an earthquake and tsunami hit the northeast coast of Japan. While Japan received a flood of generous support from all over the world, the recovery effort is far from over with more than 300,000 people forced away from home.

Darwin Show at Q Pop

Hey everyone!
Joey Chou and I are gonna be having an Art Show at Q Pop Shop in Los Angeles! Set the calendars for Saturday, March 10th. Here are some process and sneak peeks of what I have been working on. Want to see it all done and finished?! Well... your gonna have to come to the show! Looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends and making some new ones.

Here is my contribution to the "What is Q" art show / grand opening. You should go check this show out, and they sell awesome merchandise as well! I had the pleasure of visiting the store in October, and I must say it is definitely one of the most unique shops in LA.

Side Projects

Things have been pretty busy over here. Working at Pixar during the day, and at night workin on things for an art show, the Villains book, and now co directing a music video with some friends! Here is an image of some process for the video. We are trying to capture live action, mixed with some stop motion, and 2d animation.

I'll be in this Twilight zone themed show in LA called "Another Dimension." The show will be held at Gallery 1988 on Thursday, May 20th. The good news is I will be there, so it would be great to see all the old friends and new ones. Hope to see you guys there.

Alright KIDS! Our company store is now open for business! Not to long ago Meghan and I started our own company selling shirts, prints, bags and little knick knacks. Our first show was at APE in San Fran and had a blast. I have been called and emailed by people askin "how can we buy this stuff?" Well now you non APEers, friends and family can! My shirts, and scoutbooks are available. I also have the bear screenprint, but not on the site so feel free to email me if interested, and we can work something out. Meghan has some awesome prints, bags and scarves as well!

RIGAMARU


As for other things going on in my life, I am at LAIKA working with some amazing artists. Although in February, I am moving to San Fran to work at PIXAR. I had an amazing time in Portland and made some great friends. It was a hard decision to move, because there are so much talent there, and great things in development, but I want to continue my career and improve as an artist. I love you Portland, and I know I will be back.
